**All Week Long:** Experience an exciting wagon ride with Debra Slate from Wagon Rides of Bandera, pulled by the hard-working horse team of Nick and J.R. (included with museum admission).
**Monday, March 9, 2026: FANTASTIC FIRST AMERICANS!** Step back in time and immerse yourself in the incredible world of Indigenous peoples who first roamed these lands! Witness flintknapper Christian Markham as he skillfully crafts arrowheads the ancient way. Discover wondrous treasures with Bandera's own T.J. Jennings—who knows what you'll unearth! Get hands-on with the Atlatl and dig for genuine artifacts, then craft your very own pinch pots. This is history come alive!
**Tuesday, March 10, 2026: WILD AMERICA!** Ready to unleash your wild side? Explore the captivating world of birds with Laura Levy from Busy Birding, meet Texas native animals with Becky Etzler from the Kerrville Nature Center, and discover the majesty of Texas trees and plants with David Goree from San Antonio Parks & Recreation. But wait—there's MORE! Don’t miss the 45-minute show by Happy Tails starting at 11:30 AM, featuring porcupines, cavies, pythons, boas, alpacas, and even foxes! With tons of activities and crafts, this day will be an absolute blast for kids of all ages!
**Wednesday, March 11, 2026: I WOOL ALWAYS LOVE EWE AMERICA!** Start your day with cuddly sheep—especially the adorable babies! Dale Naumann from Naumann Angoras brings a goat load of fluffy fun. Watch Jennifer Nimmrichter from Sheepwalk Ranch transform wool into artistry, then see John Garcia demonstrate sheep shearing. And what's a farm without horses? Emily Cristofich from Heritage Oaks Rescue will reveal the secrets to caring for these magnificent animals. Plus, take home your very own garden and learn to weave beautiful creations!
**Thursday, March 12, 2026: PROTECTING AMERICA!** Meet the fearless heroes who put their lives on the line daily to keep us safe! Celebrate the courageous firefighters, paramedics, game wardens and soldiers who protect and serve our communities. Bandera's bravest will be here from the Bandera EMS, Bandera Fire & Rescue, Bandera American Legion, Game Warden and Bandera County Sheriff—this day is all about honoring the champions of our safety!
**Friday, March 13, 2026: AMERICA: DEEP IN THE HEART OF TEXAS!** Why is Texas truly great? Because of its cowboys! Watch in awe as Trick Roper Kevin Fitzpatrick dazzles us with his skills from 1 PM to 3 PM. Don’t miss the chance to feed and pet our adorable Scottish Highland Cows—after all, cattle and Texas go hand in hand! Also Camp Verde, the home of the camel experiment, is just down the road so Bill Rivers of Movieland Animals is bringing camels to the museum for you to learn about. And what could be more Texan than indulging in Blue Bell Ice Cream? Enjoy a sweet treat and then unleash your inner artist as you paint a stunning Texas scene with watercolor artist Connie Young.
