Join the famous Frontier Times Museum as we celebrate the National Day of the American Cowboy in Bandera, Cowboy Capital of the World! Where else but Bandera will you find the perfect place to explore and experience the true cowboy way.
National Day of the American Cowboy Every Fourth Weekend in July July 25, 2015 The Fun Begins Friday, July 24 at 6:00 pm with the Texas Heroes Hall of Honor Induction Ceremony and Reception. Meet this year's Texas Heroes and enjoy dinner and music under the stars on the grounds of the historic Frontier Times Museum.
An authentic chuck wagon dinner by the Ridin' River Cowboy Fellowship will bring you back to the days on the cattle trails. Enjoy brisket, applesauce pork, potato salad, grilled vegetables, hot bread, and your choice of blueberry, cherry, and peach cobbler. A donation of $20 is requested for Dinner and Refreshments. This year's inductees are Chuck wagon master Kelly Scott, Dixie Dude Ranch owner Clay Conoly, and former Texas Highways magazine photographer J. Griffis Smith. Come join us Saturday, July 25 at Mansfield Park where the fun continues with our time honored FRONTIER TIMES RANCH RODEO. Grand Entry begins at 8 p.m. Gates open at 6:00 pm.
