Barbara Mazurek

Living her Legacy

Barbara said "Ranching is a way of life.  It's a Legacy."
With her husband, Hubert, and their three children, she helped run the Mazurek Ranch, which has been in the family since the mid-1800's.  When she lost Bob to a tragic farming accident in 1993 she retired from teaching after 38 years to work full-time on the ranch.  Active in 4-H, she taught and mentored generations.  She was passionate about educating kids.  As she put it, "food & fiber doesn't come from Walmart or Dairy Queen we need to teach our kids what agriculture does for them."
